Balance Sheet
A balance sheet is a fundamental financial statement showing a company's assets, liabilities and equity at a specific date. Based on the equation "Assets = Liabilities + Equity," it provides a snapshot of the firm's financial position at that moment; unlike an income statement, it reflects a single point in time rather than a period.
