Qubit

A qubit (quantum bit) is the basic unit of information in quantum computers. Unlike a classical bit, which can only be 0 or 1, a qubit can exist in a combination of both states simultaneously thanks to quantum superposition — a property that underlies the ability of quantum computers to be exponentially faster than classical ones for certain types of computation.
