lumen

The lumen is the unit that measures the total amount of visible light a source emits, known as luminous flux. While watts show the electrical power consumed, lumens show brightness directly. How many lumens a bulb produces determines how much it will light a space, regardless of whether it is an LED, halogen, or fluorescent bulb. For example, 800 lumens corresponds to the brightness of a traditional 60-watt incandescent bulb.
